Since 1985 when the Foreign Employment Act was first introduced in Nepal, there have been considerable shifts in policy regimes that govern migration to and from Nepal. CESLAM is preparing a working paper that will examine these policy shifts with the intention of initiating a broader policy debate and discussion around the nexus between issues of migration policies and Nepal’s development needs (forthcoming).
