Hanna Geschewski spoke to economist Dr Achyut Wagle and labour migration expert Dr Jeevan Baniya.
Dr Wagle has a PhD in economics and Professor at the Kathmandu University School of Management. He also writes a weekly op-ed column in The Kathmandu Post/Kantipur Daily, which is Nepal's largest media and publication house.
Dr Baniya has a PhD in political science from the University of Oslo and is the Assistant Director at Social Science Baha, a Kathmandu-based research organisation. He has been involved in research and teaching on issues related to labour and migration, governance, democracy, state-society relations and disasters, among others.
