Collaborating Partner: South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment (SAWTEE)
Duration: June 2012 to August 2012
In partnership with the South Asia Watch on Trade, Economics and Environment (SAWTEE), CESLAM was contracted by a consortium of three European development institutes, the German Development Institute (DIE), Bonn; the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM), Maastricht; and the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), London, to contribute to the European Report on Development (ERD). ERD is the main output of the ‘Mobilising European Research for Development Policies’ initiative supported by the European Commission and seven EU member states. The objective of the ERD 2012-2013 was to provide an independent European contribution to the emerging debate on a possible post-2015 consensus on international development. CESLAM along with SAWTEE prepared a Nepal-based country case study in order to inform the ERD about Nepal’s experiences and perspectives with regard to the MDGs and a possible future global framework, with CESLAM focusing its contribution on migration.
