केही समयअघि मात्र मुक्त कमलरीले आन्दोलनमार्फत् आफूहरु आफ्ना अधिकार, पहिचान र संरक्षणका लागि नीति निर्माण तथा कार्यान्वयन तहमा सार्थक दबाब दिन सक्षम भएको प्रमाणित गरेका छन्। उनीहरुको यो सफल आन्दोलनले काठमाडौं केन्द्रित शिक्षित तथा सभ्रान्त महिलाले नेतृत्व गर्दै आएका आन्दोलनहरुलाई समेत चुनौती दिएको छ। मुक्त कमलरीको राजनीतिक दलहरुसँग प्रत्यक्ष वा अप्रत्यक्ष सम्बन्ध हुन सक्छ तर यो आन्दोलनमा त्यसको गन्ध देखिएन।Published on: 8 August 2013 | Nagarik

Self-employment Fund not in easy access of target—poor, unemployed
Twenty-five-year-old Krishna KC from Kavre is a prospective candidate for the government’s self-employment programme launched in 2009. KC has already lost Rs 300,000 to foreign employment agents who promised him jobs as a security guard in Dubai and Malaysia. Madhesi Teachers' Union demand recognition
The Madhesi Teachers´ Union has demanded that the Ministry of Education (MoE) include its members in policy-making and while amending regulations related to education. Govt plans to generate 50k jobs

When six of her 10 children died young like chickens in autumn, Sunita Danuwar’s mother thought it was a witch’s doing and the family decided to move out of Dailekh to Jammu and Kashmir in India. Four Nepali migrant workers die in Kuwait
Three Nepali migrant workers died in a road accident while another was killed in a separate incident in Kuwait.
